Wow. I've not really been much of... anywhere. I mean, I've been to California, various parts of Florida numerous times, NYC, and Vegas. And oh, yeah, I've been to Texas at the damned airport for nearly a day (oh, joy) but that doesn't count because I don't even remember what city it was.  But, still. I need to somehow find a way to go... elsewhere on vay-cay.

Posting this makes me want to travel more. I've been considering Virginia Beach next since it's not horrendously far away. Ooh, home of the 700 Club!

MTV is REMAKING The Rocky Horror Picture Show. It will be out in the fall of 2009 (probably on Halloween, no doubt).



What? Huh? Don't get me wrong, I ADORE the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Seriously, it was my crack for a good long time. But if there's nothing wrong with the drugs, why change the formula?

It could be good. It could totally suck. I'm DYING to see who they're going to cast, I must know!

Ben's precious (my precious!) home theater Pioneer receiver is really sensitive to thunderstorms and power outages. We have a Monster PowerCenter surge protector on it and everything but it's still very sensitive. It's been repaired 3 times due to thunderstorms. The damn MCACC light just flashes and nothing will work until you take it in to get it serviced.

Ben's sick of the damn thing breaking and paying money to get it serviced. The Pioneer people won't tell you shit either. He had the cover off of it today in our kitchen, looking at its guts with a flashlight, trying to figure out what to do or if he can find a reset button of some sort.

I'm on the internet trying to help him. I've been looking forever but I'm really good with searching for information. After almost giving up, FINALLY I find this: Push Video 2 + Enter for two seconds. It can't be that easy.

I walk over, push Video 2 and Enter. Two seconds go by, there's a slight popping sound and it's alive again. No more flashing light either. Mwahahahahaha!!!

It actually felt like magic. And I'm damn proud of myself. *blows on knuckles, shining them on my shirt*

I know, I know, you've seen this before, right? Stop me if you have. Or don't. Just groan or something and move on.

Anyway, I completely forgot that I miss Joss Whedon. Here's a Joss Whedon fix for you if you're like, the 5 people who haven't heard about it yet. After hearing about Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog for a while, I finally got to watch part I and II last night.

And I nearly orgasmed (hence the title of this entry) because it is a fucking MUSICAL! I'm not saying this is another "Once More With Feeling". But, it could be pretty close (just a little more to the left... right there... oh yeah). Or maybe I could just grow to love this one just as much. In any case, it's got NPH. Yup, the Neil Patrick Harris. And Nathan Fillion. And a few other cool people.

Make with the clicky. Yes, I've been suckered into buying this on iTunes already.

ETA: Parts I & II are up now. Part III will be up Saturday (I think). And then on Sunday, the free stuff disappears into the void until you pony up the dough.

Ж-Men...but not the ones you might expect!
This week LJ Russia launched Ж-Men, a new comedy series about superheroes, inspired by the LJ communities dedicated to superheros, comics and cartoons. The title's "Ж" comes from ЖЖ, the nickname for LiveJournal in Russia.

Ж-Men's script is written by a group of LJ enthusiasts who also happen to be television professionals. Who knew? Following the premiere, five more episodes will be broadcast over the next two weeks. We hope you find the series fresh and enjoyable.

This is, of course, an experiment for LiveJournal. As always, we'd love to hear what you think!

Hey, check it! Ben and the gallery he works for, Sweet Art of Mine, won some kind of radio contest with 94.9 FM, The Sound. So, yesterday 94.9 was there and they set up Rock Band at the gallery. Ben, Lauren, Samantha, Paul, Kris (the owner) and her sons all got to play Rock Band for a few hours and got free food and energy drinks. Of course, afterwards, one of Kris' sons took ALL of the food and - the teenager he is - drove away with it before anyone could grab some food for themselves. LOL.

Ben's in this video but it's hard to see him at times because of the light shining through the store window. Kris is the chick in the Aerosmith shirt. Paul is the Led Zeppelin dude.

Because I fucking *MISS* Torchwood already. Series 3, no matter how short the damn season will be next time 'round, had better hurry up. :)
